Vegan Polartec Coats

vaute-couture-fall-coat-09Treehugger.com recently featured one of Polartec’s customers on it’s website. Vaute Couture is a small Chicago fashion house whose mission is “to create fabulous Vegan coats.” Vaute Couture uses recycled Polartec Thermal Pro fabric in several of its jackets, which also feature “buttons that are either dead stock metal from a UK factory, or made from the tagua nut — also known as ‘vegetable ivory.’ All garments are fair trade and constructed in Chicago by workers who are paid a living wage or above.”

Check out more Vaute Couture here and the Treehugger.com story here.
